Бывший министр внутренних дел Украины включен в состав экспертного совета комитета Госдумы по собственности, где будет курировать вопросы защиты имущественных интересов российских инвесторов за рубежом. Об этом «Известиям» рассказал глава комитета Сергей Гаврилов. По его словам, бывший украинский чиновник будет оказывать экспертную помощь при разработке законов, направленных на защиту российских инвестиций, и содействовать возврату незаконно выведенных из России капиталов.  

— Президент России Владимир Путин в своем послании отметил необходимость усиления правовой защиты российских капиталовложений и собственности за рубежом, — заявил «Известиям» Сергей Гаврилов. — В рамках деятельности экспертного совета комитета работу над соответствующими законодательными инициативами предложено поручить Виталию Захарченко, который в настоящее время ведет активную деятельность в госкорпорации «Ростех».

В настоящее время Захарченко работает советником российской государственной компании «Ростех». В январе экс-министр презентовал в Севастополе благотворительный фонд «Юго-Восток». Сам он занял в нем должность президента. По его словам, фонд будет заниматься помощью бывшим правоохранителям, которые пострадали во время евромайдана в Киеве. Тогда же Захарченко сообщил, что не имеет в России политических амбиций и намерен сконцентрироваться на благотворительности.
