Бывший уполномоченный по правам человека в России Элла Памфилова возглавила Центральную избирательную комиссию РФ. Ее кандидатура была поддержана большинством членов нового состава ЦИК, пишет Главком.

За Памфилову проголосовали 14 членов ЦИК, за другого кандидата Сергея Сироткина — один.

В понедельник проходит первое заседание Центризбиркома в новом составе, на котором, кроме председателя, будут избраны зампред и секретарь комиссии.

Российский Центризбирком в 2016 году обновился почти на две трети: из 15 членов нынешнего состава в новый ЦИК вошли лишь шестеро: Борис Эбзеев, Сиябшах Шапиев, Антон Лопатин, Майя Гришина, Валерий Крюков, Евгений Колюшин. Новыми членами ЦИК стали Элла Памфилова, Василий Лихачев, Евгений Шевченко, Александр Кинев, Сергей Сироткин, Николай Левичев, Валерий Гальченко, Николай Булаев, Александр Клюкин.
