Прокуратура Бразилії вимагає арешту колишнього президента країни Луіса Ігнасіо Лула да Сільви за обвинуваченнями у відмиванні грошей та шахрайському використанні особистих даних з метою приховування володіння нерухомістю.

Про це із посиланням на фундацію Лула да Сільви пише Reuters.

«Фундація назвала прагнення арештувати президента «черговим доказом упередженості» державного прокурора Сан Паоло Касіл Консеріно. Подання вимагає схвалення судді, що, згідно із радником президента, вкрай маловірогідно», - зазначає Reuters.

За словами прокурора, два десятки свідків заявили, що Лула володів розкішною квартирою у прибережному місті Гуаруха. Ці свідчення були використані державним обвинуваченням як доказ незаконного збагачення колишнього президента за рахунок нерухомості.

Сам Лула відкидає усі обвинувачення.

Reuters додає, що спроба арешту колишнього президента кидає ще більшу тінь на нинішню главу Бразилії Ділму Русеф, мітинг з вимогою імпічменту якої планується до проведення у неділю.
