На думку цих республіканців, "Трамп поставить під загрозу національну безпеку і добробут США".

Серед підписантів листа - екс-директор ЦРУ Майкл Хайден, екс-директор Національної розвідки Джон Негропонте, колишній голова Світового банку Роберт Зеллік, екс-міністри внутрішньої безпеки Том Рідж і Майкл Чертофф.

Усі ті, хто підписав лист, заявили, що не голосуватимуть за Трампа.

У відповідь Дональд Трамп назвав підписантів листа "вашингтонською елітою, що провалилася і намагається утримати владу".
