Выдвинутый Партией социальной защиты Михаил Козлов принёс в Центризбирком вместо подписей чистые листы в подарочной упаковке.

Как передаёт корреспондент «Интерфакса», таким образом он вышел из президентской гонки. По словам Козлова, он понял, что не рассчитал свои финансовые возможности и не хочет тратить деньги на сбор подписей.

Также снял свою кандидатуру в пользу Владимира Путина Станислав Полищук. Он был выдвинут «Партией социальных реформ — прибыль от природных ресурсов — народу». «Я принял решение, что должен сконцентрироваться не на своих личных амбициях», — объяснил Полищук. Он добавил, что все подписи направляет в штаб Путина.
