Депутаты Европарламента намерены представить убитого политика Бориса Немцова посмертно к премии Андрея Сахорова.

По данным эстонских СМИ, с этой инициативой выступили депутаты от Эстонии Урмас Паэт, Кая Каллас, Ханс Ван Баален, Петрас Аустревичус и Норика Николай, сообщает Росбалт.

По словам Паэта, денежные средства планируется перечислить Фонду Бориса Немцова, созданного его дочерью, и целью которого является поддержка гражданского общества России в борьбе за мирное и демократическое государство.

Напомним, с 1988 года Европарламент награждает премией Сахарова лиц, борящихся за права человека.

Борис Немцов был застрелен вечером 27 февраля на Большом Москворецком мосту. В  его убийстве обвиняются бывший замкомандира батальона "Север" ВВ МВД Чечни Заур Дадаев, а также Анзор и Шадид Губашевы, Хамзат Бахаев и Тамерлан Эскерханов.
