Натомість Facebook буде показувати користувачам посилання на релевантні матеріали («Related Articles»), повідомляється у блозі компанії. 
 

Дослідження, проведене Facebook, показало, що спеціальна позначка «Disputed» давала зворотний ефект: вона сприяла закріпленню глибоко укорінених переконань в користувачів.

У Facebook вважають, що посилання на додаткові матеріали щодо тієї чи іншої теми допоможуть користувачам розпізнати фейковий новини і, таким чином, дозволять запобігти їх поширення в соціальній мережі.

Нагадаємо, у березні цього року Facebook почала співпрацю з низкою фактчекінгових організацій та запровадила позначку «Disputed» («Спірна») біля фейкових новин.
