Соціальна мережа Facebook вирішила видалити зі своєї платформи згадки неонацистського сайту Daily Stormer. Компанія вдалася до таких дій після того, як він опублікував образливий пост про жертву протестів у Шарлотсвіллі Хізер Хейєр (Heather Heyer), пише Media Sapiens

Засновник проекту Daily Stormer Ендрю Англін (Andrew Anglin) написав публікацію на сайті, в якому стверджував, що життя Хізер Хейєр не має жодної цінності та що вона була «тягарем для суспільства». «Вона була товстою, бездітною, 32-річною шльондрою», - йшлося в його тексті. Лише за вихідні посилання на цю публікацію у Facebook поширили понад 65 тисяч разів.

Facebook повідомила, що видалятиме лінки на цей пост, оскільки він порушує правила спільноти. Поділитися ним можна буде лише в тому разі, якщо у підписі до посилання користувачі будуть засуджувати Daily Stormer та нападки на Хізер Хейєр.

Раніше хостинговий сервіс GoDaddy повідомив The Daily Stormer про те, що у нього є 24 години на перенесення домену на новий хостинг. Сайт порушив правила хостингу, і GoDaddy вирішив припинити роботу з ним. The Daily Stormer переніс хостинг на Google, фле там його теж дуже швидко заблокували. На момент написання новини сайт The Daily Stormer був не доступний.

Нагадаємо, після маршу крайніх правих в Шарлотсвіллі (США) у Twitter почали ідентифікувати його учасників та викладати в мережу їх імена. Одного з них, Коула Уайта, звільнили з роботи, після того, як роботодавець дізнався про його погляди.

Також президент США Дональд Трамп, замість відповіді на питання про правий марш, звинуватив журналіста CNN Джима Акосту у вигадуванні фейків.
