Федеральне бюро розслідувань США протягом року ухилялося від повідомлення американським офіційним особам про те, що їх електронні поштові скриньки були піддані російським хакерським атакам.

Про це повідомляє Європейська правда із посиланням на розслідування The Associated Press.

За даними розслідування, ФБР понад рік володіло інформацією про те, що офіційні особи США були об'єктами атак хакерського угруповання Fancy Bear, яке пов'язують з Кремлем.

The Associated Press після інтерв'ю з 80 особами, які були об'єктами атак, дізналося, що були лише два випадки, коли бюро поінформувало чиновників про такі атаки.

Три джерела підтвердили, що ФБР знало про кібер-атаки понад рік.

"ФБР регулярно інформує людей та організації про потенційну загрозу щодо інформації", - відповіли ФБР в коментарі для The Associated Press.

Нагадаємо, хакерська група APT28, яка за даними експертів з питань кібер-безпеки є підрозділом Головного розвідувального управління Генштабу РФ, активна протягом як мінімум десяти років та встигла завдати шкоди найбільш вразливим та важливим військовим та дипломатичним організаціям на Заході.

Група APT28 пов'язана також із такими назвами як Sofacy Group, Pawn Storm, Fancy Bear та Sednit.
