Тепер менеджери, які управляють популярними сторінками у соціальній мережі Фейсбук, муситимуть додатково себе ідентифікувати. Про це пише The Verge. Якщо вони хочуть надалі продовжувати вести акаунти, їм необхідно буде пройти процес авторизації, який включає двофакторну аутентифікацію та підтвердження країни де вони розташовані. Перевіряти локацію менеджерів будуть за допомогою GPS у їхніх телефонах.

Ті менеджери, яким потрібно буде пройти ці процедури, отримають повідомлення згори своєї стрічки новин.  Нові дані будуть закріплені у розділі «Ролі на сторінці». Все йде до того, що після американських сторінок, Фейсбук запровадить нововведення і для інших країн.

«Ми не будемо розголошувати, наскільки великою має бути сторінка, щоб підпадати під нові правила. З цією інформацією зацікавлені сторони спробують маніпулювати новими правилами», — каже прес-секретар соціальної мережі.

Компанія запроваджує таку перевірку після скандалу із виборами президента у США. Як відомо, російське «Агентство інтернет-досліджень» («фабрика тролів») витратило $100 тис. на розміщення реклами під час виборчих перегонів. Більшість з цих повідомлень були зроблені з фейкових акаунтів.

Раніше Фейсбук висунув подібні вимоги до ідентифікації для тих, хто хоче просувати на платформі політичну рекламу.  

Оновлення торкнулися і блоку «Інформація про сторінку». Тепер тут соціальна мережа показуватиме історію злиття сторінки з іншими, якщо такі факти мали місце.

«Ці оновлення є частиною наших постійних зусиль, спрямованих на підвищення автентичності та прозорості сторінок на нашій платформі», — пише платформа у прес-релізі.
