Офис генерального инспектора Майкла Горовица начинает «расследование того, участвовал ли какой-либо бывший или нынешний чиновник Министерства юстиции в ненадлежащей попытке заставить Министерство юстиции изменить исход президентских выборов 2020 года», — говорится в сообщении.
Это расследование последовало после расследований The New York Times и Wall Street Journal о том, что бывший президент Дональд Трамп якобы попытался использовать свое министерство юстиции для оспаривания результатов выборов, в том числе возможность свержения исполнявшего обязанности генерального прокурора Джеффри Розен.
