Президент Филиппин Родриго Дутерте заявил о сожалении насчет своих слов, "истрактованных как личный выпад" против президента Соединенных Штатов Америки Барака Обамы.

Об этом сообщает Апостроф со ссылкой на американский телеканал CNN.

Отмечается, что главы Филиппин и США договорились о переносе встречи на более поздний срок.

Также Дутерте пообещал сгладить все противоречия, которые вытекают из национальных приоритетов и представлений.

Недавно Родриго Дутерте в грубой форме отозвался о намерении Барака Обамы поднять на встрече с ним вопрос о казненных филиппинских преступниках. Через некоторое время в США заявили, что Обама усомнился в целесообразности встречи с Дутерте. Вместо этого президент США встретится с главой Южной Кореи Пак Кын Хе.
