Обладателем премии World Press Photo в номинации "Фотография года" стал австралиец Уоррен Ричардсон (Warren Richardson).

Его наградили за фотографию "Надежда на новую жизнь", на которой изображены беженцы, передающие ребенка через забор с колючей проволокой, сообщает LB.ua

Фотография была сделана 28 августа 2015 года на венгерско-сербской границе.

Конкурс World Press Photo проводится ежегодно с 1955 года. В этом году председателем жюри был Фрэнсис Кон (Francis Kohn), фотодиректор AFP.

Напомним,в 2015 году победителем World Press Photo стал датский фотограф Мадс Ниссен с фотографией гомосексуальной пары из Санкт-Петербурга
