Международная правозащитная организация Freedom House назвала решение Национального совета по вопросам ТВ и радиовещания о запрете трансляции канала «Дождь» в кабельных сетях цензурой.

Об этом сообщается на странице организации в социальной сети Facebook.

"Запрет властью трансляции телеканала«Дождь» - цензура, ограничивающая доступ украинцев к выбору точек зрения. В то время, когда российские войска занимают часть территории Украины, жизненно важно, чтобы украинцы имели доступ к независимому освещению событий в России, и к одному из немногих оставшихся независимых российских СМИ", - сказал Роберт Герман, вице-президент Freedom House по международным программам.

Напомним, что 12 янврая Национальный совет по вопросам телевидения и радиовещания единогласно убрал телеканал «Дождь» из перечня иностранных программ, содержание которых отвечает требованиям Европейской конвенции о трансграничном телевидении и законодательства Украины, и дал провайдерам месяц, чтобы заменить российский телеканал на другой.

На телеканале с жалостью восприняли эту новость и сообщили, что они не могут не называть Крым российским, ведь это противоречит законодательству РФ. 

В ответ на запрет в эфире телеканала включили трансляцию концерта украинской группы «Океан Эльзы».
