Глава Центризбиркома Беларуси обрушился с критикой на женщину - кандидата в президенты страны, которая, по ее словам, никогда не сможет стать "батькой".

Кроме того Глава ЦИК Лидия Ермошина назвала некоторых конкурентов Александра Лукашенко в борьбе за этот пост "смешными".

Чиновница прокомментировала выдвижение в качестве кандидата гражданской активистки Татьяны Короткевич.

"Женщина, конечно, может и будет очень влиятельным человеком, но она все-таки будет работать в некой традиционной сфере - руководить образованием или культурой. Но "батькой" должен быть мужчина, этакий отец нации", - передает Новое время.

При этом она отметила, что не имеет в виду нынешнего президента: "Я имела в виду такое понятие, как отец народа". Тем не менее, глава Центризбиркома заявила, что пока не видит в оппозиции достойного конкурента Лукашенко.

Выборы президента Беларуси пройдут 11 октября текущего года. Александр Лукашенко является первым и пока единственным президентом страны. Он руководит республикой с 1994 года. За недемократичность правления на Западе Лукашенко называют "последним диктатором Европы".
