Під публікаціями про АТО у Волинських виданнях коментарі пишуть багато тролів із «псковським та новгородським акцентом», тобто це роблять люди, найняті російськими спецслужбами. Такі коментарі голова ОДА Володимир Гунчик просить адміністраторів волинських інтернет-ЗМІ «не пропускати»,пише Волинь Post

Про це він повідомив під час брифінгу у понеділок, 19 січня.

За словами Гунчика, наразі «Інтернет забитий антиукраїнським матеріалом. Я не є цензор, я не хочу керувати ЗМІ. Але дивіться, які ідуть публікації. Під ними працюють тролі у коментарях. Якщо у них явно виражена антиукраїнська тематика, вона закликає до чогось, чому вони публікуються?».

Гунчик вважає, що основне завдання таких матеріалів – закликати українців виступити проти війни і змусити владу іти на переговори із терористами. Тому, на його думку, «інформаційна війна тільки розгортається».

Також голова ОДА відзначив, що у північних районах Волині через Білорусь активно працює російське телебачення, натомість українське цифрове мовлення поки не має достатнього покриття. Тому «боротися за частоти» телебачення та радіо на Волині планують вже з 2015 року.
