Глава Национального банка Украины Валерия Гонтарева обвинила украинские средства массовой информации в продажности. Об этом она заявила, выступая с лекцией «Как преодолеть идеальный шторм и реформировать финансовую систему: взгляд из НБУ» в рамках курса лекций «Макроэкономика от первых лиц: деньги, центробанк, политика», , - сообщают Українські новини..

«Проблема нашей страны, наверное, больше в том, что очень много средств массовой информации находится в руках олигархического клана. Поэтому очень часто, не хочу обидеть присутствующую здесь прессу, но я называю это свободная продажная пресса. И это очень страшно. Если мы делаем демоно.., демоно.., деолигархизацию, я никогда не могла выговорить это слово, демонополизацию всего рынка, деолирхизацию всех наших экономических секторов, то я думаю, сектор масс-медиа, да, должен одним из первых, наверное, попадать туда», - сказала Гонтарева.

Она отметила, что любая неправдивая информация - это дезинформация, которая создает панику на рынке.

Гонтарева считает, что кризис в Украине прошел бы намного легче, если бы панические настроения не подогревались.
