Компанія Google погодилася на компроміс для врегулювання податкової суперечки в Італії.

Податкова поліція Італії минулого року заявила, що за період з 2009 до 2013 року Google заробила в країні 1 млрд євро. При цьому компанія заплатила податки не в повному розмірі. Як повідомила прес-служба Google, компанія виплатить € 306 млн євро додатково до вже заплачених раніше податків. Угода охоплює період з 2002 по 2015 рік, пише Media Sapiens

В минулому році Google пішла на схожу угоду з урядом Великобританії. Тоді компанія погодилася виплатити $ 185 млн для погашення податкової заборгованість за період із 2006 по 2011 рік.

Також компанію в 2015 році звинувачували у використанні фінансової схеми «голландський сендвіч» для ухилення від сплати податків. Google збирала виручку, отриману за межами США, на рахунках Google Ireland Limited, після чого переводила їх через дочірню компанію в Голландії Google Netherlands Holdings BV на рахунки Google Ireland Unlimited, яка зареєстрована в Ірландії. Проте ця остання компанія фактично знаходиться в офшорній зоні (Бермудські або Карибські острови), тому кошти не підпадають під сплату податку на прибуток. Таким чином, корпорації вдалося знизити податкову ставку поза США до 6,4% в 2015 році. Bloomberg оцінює обсяг зекономлених за допомогою «голландського сендвіча» коштів у $3,6 млрд.

Уряд Ірландії в 2015 році припинив можливість використання цієї схеми. Однак компанії, які на момент заборони вже її використовували, зможуть продовжити подібну діяльність до 2020 року.
