Президент Литвы Даля Грибаускайте в субботу, 21 марта, прибудет с визитом в Киев, где получит премию «Человек года» за последовательную и активную поддержку европейского выбора Украины.Об этом сообщает пресс-служба президента Литвы,пишет Укрінформ

«Премия «Человек года» присвоена Президенту Литвы Высшим академическим советом Украины, в состав которого входят представители общества этой страны – эксперты различных областей. Этой награды глава страны удостоена за отстаивание интересов Украины на самом высоком международном уровне, активную поддержку европейских устремлений этой страны и поддержку территориальной целостности Украины. Подчеркивается, что личный вклад Президента Литвы в утверждение демократических принципов на Украине заслуживает самой высокой оценки этой страны», - отмечается в сообщении.

Пресс-служба Грибаускайте отмечает, что во время торжественной церемонии, которая состоится в Национальном дворце искусств «Украина», главе Литвы будет вручена статуэтка «Прометей-Престиж» (автор - скульптор Олег Черноиванов).

Напомним, в столице состоятся встречи президента Литвы с Президентом Украины Петром Порошенко и Премьер-министром Арсением Яценюком.

В ходе двусторонних встреч глава Литвы обсудит ситуацию в области безопасности на востоке Украины, прогресс в реализации важных реформ и необходимую Украине международную помощь.
