Веб-сервіс, який гарантує користувачам надійне зберігання паролів від різних аккаунтів на сайтах соціальних мереж, заявив, що виявив підозрілу активність на своїх серверах, внаслідок чого деякі дані користувачів могли опинитися в руках хакерів.

На даний момент у компанії відзначають, що були виявлені докази того, що частина особистих даних користувачів, наприклад, нагадування паролів, були зламані. У той же час, самі акаунти користувачів зламані не були.

Веб-сервіс радить своїм клієнтам перевстановити програму.

Основною діяльністю компанії LastPass є шифрування і подальша охорона паролів користувачів.

14 червня The Guardian писали про те, що російські і китайські спецслужби використовували документи Едварда Сноудена, щоб вичислити британських і американських секретних агентів. Внаслідок цього Великобританія була вимушена відкликати своїх розвідників.

Того ж дня хакери атакували комп'ютер канцлера Німеччини Ангели Меркель за допомогою «троянського вірусу». Злочинці відправили від імені канцлера ФРН кілька інфікованих листів.
