Парламент Великобританії піддався кібератаці, яка призвела до збоїв під час роботи електронної пошти депутатів. Про це в твіттері написав член Палати лордів Крістофер Реннард, інформує PRпортал.. За інформацією кореспондентів ВВС News, парламентаріїв повідомили про намагання здійснити несанкціонований доступ до їх поштових акаунтів ввечері 23 червня. Трохи згодом у них виникли труднощі при віддаленому доступі до поштових скриньок.

Представник Палати громад заявила, що труднощі з доступом до електронної пошти самі по собі не були результатом атаки хакерів. Однак з приводу спроби несанкціонованого доступу до акаунтів депутатів представники Парламенту звернулися до Національного центру з кібербезпеки (National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC).

23 червня газета The Times писала, що паролі, котрі належать британським депутатам, виставили на продаж на одному з російськомовних хакерських ресурсів. У NCSC після публікації пообіцяли оновити вимоги до захисту даних відомств. Раніше експерти заявили, що вірус Wannacry, котрий вразив комп’ютерні системи у понад 150 країнах світу, розповсюджувався з КНДР.
