На російськомовному сайті для хакерів виставлено на продаж списки логінів і паролів від електронних пошт британських міністрів, послів та інших державних службовців, пише Media Sapiens

База містить дані майже 10 тисяч чиновників. Журналісти припустили, що до злому можуть бути причетні російські хакери, оскільки дані продаються на російськомовному ресурсі. За даними Times, хакери склали списки логінів і паролів, отримавши дані з ряду сайтів, включаючи MySpace і LinkedIn. У списках були дані британської міністра освіти Джастін Грінінг і міністра у справах бізнесу і енергетики Греuа Кларка. Загалом у базі є паролі семи тисяч поліцейських, включаючи головного інспектора, понад тисячі співробітників МЗС, включаючи главу IT-департаменту, а також тисячі членів і працівників парламенту.

Журналісти Times також відзначили, що досить багато чиновників використовують слабкі паролі, наприклад «police», «password», «police1». Представники Національного центру кібербезпеки заявили, що переглянуть захист персональних даних у державних органах.

Нагадаємо, нещодавно лідери країн G7 оголосили про намір посилити міжнародне співробітництво з метою підвищення захисту перед загрозою кіберзлочинності. Вони також висловили стурбованість через низку кібератак на критичні об'єкти інфраструктури по всьому світу.
