Помилка в "Твітері" дозволила хакерам отримати доступ до безлічі акаунтів, серед яких виявився і аккаунт "God". Про це повідомляє  Business Insider.

Повідомляється, що помилка з'являлася при відновленні пароля. Замість того щоб показувати email-адресу, прив'язану до аккаунту, із зірочками, "Твітер" показував його повністю. Якщо термін дії електронної адреси минув, то при реєстрації під тим же ім'ям інструкції з відновлення аккаунта приходили саме на нову пошту. Якщо він все ще активний, то хакер міг спробувати зламати його іншими методами.

Аккаунт God, що має більше 180 тис. передплатників, виявився одним з маси зламаних особистих сторінок. В одному з повідомлень новий "власник" аккаунта подякував за можливість перереєстрації неактивних поштових скриньок на Hotmail і вразливість "нульового дня".

Хакери - або користувачі, які скористалися раптово виявленої вразливістю, - особливо зацікавлені в сторінках з короткими назвами. Як пише видання, один з користувачів навіть спробував продавати тризначні акаунти за 100 фунтів.
