За знайдені вразливості в системі компанія Facebook заплатила хакерам $ 5 мільйонів. Протягом останніх п'яти років нагороди отримали понад 900 осіб. Цю інформацію оприлюднили в корпоративному блозі компанії, передає Новое время

Створена в 2011 році програма була потрібна, щоб повідомляти про недоліки безпеки і помилки в Facebook. Пізніше, ця сфера була розширена, щоб покрити інші додатки, наприклад Instagram і WhatsApp.

Facebook запевняє, що найбільше число вразливостей знайшли хакери з Індії. Також у трійці лідерів програмісти з США і Мексики. За останні півроку нагороди отримали 149 осіб, а сума виплат за цей час перевищила 600 тисяч доларів.

Цікаво, що деяким програмістам Facebook платить не в доларах, а в біткоїнах.
