На офіційну коронацію за традицією може піти кілька років. У Таїланді розпочався процес передачі трону після смерті Пуміпона Адульядета, який 70 років правив країною. Парламент країни запустив процедуру вступу єдиного сина монарха Махи Вачіралонгкорна на престол, йдеться у сюжеті ТСН.Ранок.

Під час спеціальної сесії спікер парламенту звернувся до принца із проханням погодитися на посаду. Присутні прокричали "Хай живе король", вітаючи початок процедури коронації нового правителя Таїланду.

До слова, на офіційну коронацію за традицією може піти кілька років. Своєю чергою, 64-річний принц Маха Вачіралонгкорн здобув скандальну репутацію поза Таїландом.

Він військовий пілот, тричі розлучений і влаштовував за кордоном п'яні скандали. Під час нещодавнього візиту до Мюнхена вийшов із літака напівголим з пуделем на руках, чим шокував протокольну службу.
