Канцлер Німеччини Ангела Меркель привітала результати парламентських виборів у Нідерландах, на яких, за попередніми підрахунками, лідирує правляча Народна партія за свободу і демократію.

За словами німецького лідера, вона рада, що "висока явка на вибори забезпечила дуже проєвропейський результат", повідомляє DW.

"Я думаю, що це був хороший день для демократії", - заявила Меркель.

Вона також підкреслила, що громадяни країни виступили на вибори з чітким сигналом, що особливо важливо у світлі останніх подій, "коли Нідерландам довелося терпіти абсолютно неприйнятні нападки і звинувачення від Туреччини".

Нагадаємо, 15 березня в Нідерландах проходили парламентські вибори.

За попередніми даними, явка стала рекордною за останні 30 років і досягла 82% виборців - найвищого показника з 1986 року.

За даними екзитполів, Народна партія за свободу отримала 31 з 150 місць в парламенті. Ультраправа Партія свободи з 19 місцями розділила друге місце з Християнсько-демократичним закликом і Демократами-66. Третє місце у Зелених лівих - 16 депутатських мандатів, четверте місце у Соціалістичної партії - 14 мандатів.
