Міжнародна правозахисна організація Human Rights Watch вважає, що нове російське антитерористичне законодавство може призвести до невиправданого розширення електронного слідкування і підриву прав людини та інтернет-безпеки в РФ, повідомляє «Радіо Свобода».
 
 
В організації наголошують, що підписаний Володимиром Путіним пакет «антитерористичних поправок» до законів співавторства депутата Державної думи Ірини Ярової, який прозвали «пакетом Ярової», містить цілу низку "глибоко проблемних норм", що істотно утискають право на приватне життя і можуть призвести до вкрай негативних наслідків для свободи висловлення думки в інтернеті.
 
Нагадаємо, 7 липня російський президент підписав зміни до антитерористичного законодавства, які, зокрема, зобов'язують операторів та інтернет-компанії зберігати текстові повідомлення, голосову інформацію, зображення, звуки, відео та інші електронні повідомлення користувачів на протязі півроку.
