У центрі Києва відбулася символічна хода з 200-метровими прапорами України та Литви. З такою ініціативою виступило посольство Литовської Республіки. Декілька сотень людей пройшлися з прапорами вулицею Хрещатик до Європейської площі, де з’єднали їх у єдине «серце»,повідомляє Радіо Свобода

«Ці прапори символізують нашу любов і підтримку Україні. Подібні акції проходили у великих містах Литви. Дуже скоро ці прапори будуть розкриті і в Брюсселі. Таким чином ми хочемо всім показати, що треба берегти свою свободу і незалежність», – пояснив співорганізатор та режисер акції Ерікас Друскінас.

Аналогічна акція демонстрації державних прапорів України та Литви відбулась у Вільнюсі 3 жовтня 2013 року на підтримку європейської інтеграції України, а також 11 березня 2014 року – на підтримку її суверенітету.
