Європарламент у четвер проголосував за те, щоб позбавити лідера французьких ультраправих Марін Ле Пен депутатської недоторканості через її твіти з фото, на яких ІДІЛ страчує людей.

Рішення про зняття недоторканності з Ле Пен має негайний характер і жодним чином не стосується справи про нецільове використання коштів Європарламенту під час оплати помічників ультраправого депутата.

Імунітет було знято за запитом французької влади.

Раніше за зняття імунітету з Ле Пен проголосував Комітет Європарламенту з правових питань.

Нагадаємо, що Ле Пен, яка є депутатом Європейського парламенту, перебуває під слідством у Франції за те, що вона у 2015-му році опублікувала у Twitter фото, де зображено акти насильства ІДІЛ, серед яких обезголовлення журналіста США Джеймса Фоулі.
