Испанский посол в Бельгии Игнасио Хесус Матейанес Мартинез (Ignacio Jesus Matellanes Martinez) был уволен из-за лени и грубого обращения с подчиненными. Об этом сообщает BBC News.

По сведениям издания, официально причина отставки обнародована не была, однако журналистам новостного агентства Europa Press удалось ознакомиться с секретным докладом, в котором говорится об «очень серьезных проблемах» в испанском диппредставительстве.

«Посольство, по-видимому, не выполняет основных возложенных на него функций. Это может быть объяснено стилем руководства главы диппредставительства, господина Матейанеса», — отмечает издание.

По данным Europa Press, внутри дипучреждения царила атмосфера недоверия и напряженности, а сам Матейанес предпочитал разговаривать со своими подчиненными, используя угрозы и запугивая их. Им даже приходилось брать больничные из-за депрессии.

Однако, как отмечается, такие конфликтные ситуации происходили лишь тогда, когда посол удосуживался прийти на работу. «Он вообще редко бывал здесь, а когда все же приезжал, сразу уходил на мессу с 11 до 12 часов в рабочий день», — рассказал в интервью The Guardian один из работников посольства.

Матейанес проработал на своем посту немногим более четырех лет.
