Исполняющий обязанности премьер-министра Армении Карен Карапетян допустил проведение досрочных парламентских выборов.

В своем заявлении, опубликованном во вторник, 25 апреля, Карапетян предложил президенту организовать встречу с участием парламентских и непарламентских политических сил для обсуждения ситуации, вплоть до проведения внеочередных парламентских выборов, пишет Новое время

"Самое логическое решение, чтобы политические партии в рамках закона сели за стол переговоров, обсудили и определили  сроки проведения внеочередных выборов, если в этом есть необходимость, чтобы подготовиться к ним, чтобы были равные правила игры, согласно этому и будем продвигаться вперед", - цитирует заявление News.am.

23 апреля, после многодневных митингов с требованием отставки премьер-министра Сержа Саргсяна, к которым присоединились военнослужащие, глава правительства  таки объявил о своей отставке.

Саргсян правил государством с 2008 по 2018 год в качестве президента, а после изменения формы правления на парламентскую республику был избран парламентом премьером.  Имеено это и возмутило граждан, которые расценили премьерство Саргсяна как узурпацию власти.
