Кабінет міністрів України призначив в середу, 27 липня, заступника міністра охорони здоров'я Уляну Супрун виконуючою обов'язки глави МОЗ.

"Сьогодні ми повинні підтримати зміни в керівництві МОЗ, ми покладемо з 1 серпня, в разі підтримки урядом, але я думаю уряд підтримає, виконувати обов'язки міністра охорони здоров'я Уляну Супрун", - сказав прем'єр-міністр Володимир Гройсман на засіданні в середу, передає Інтерфакс-Україна.

Глава Кабміну зазначив, що очікує від Супрун представлення концепції реформи охорони здоров'я на найближчому засіданні Кабміну. За його словами, реформа системи охорони здоров'я критично необхідна країні.

12 липня президент України Петро Порошенко під час зустрічі з лікарем, волонтером, директором гуманітарних ініціатив Всесвітнього конгресу українців Уляною Супрун запропонував їй стати заступником міністра охорони здоров'я України. 22 липня Кабінет міністрів призначив Супрун на цю посаду.

Уляна Супрун - американка українського походження, з осені 2013 року проживає в Україні, в ході подій Євромайдану працювала в медичній службі, а з 2014 року стала директором гуманітарних ініціатив СКУ.

У 2014 році заснувала організацію "Захист патріотів", яка проводить заняття з тактичної медицини та забезпечує українських бійців індивідуальними аптечками стандарту НАТО. 11 липня 2015 року президент Порошенко підписав укази про прийняття до громадянства України подружжя Уляни і Марка Супрун.
