Администрация сети считает фейковые или лживые новости формой спама. Сейчас, если пользователь видит у себя в ленте новость, которую он считает фейком, он может пожаловаться в Facebook. Если таких жалоб наберется достаточно, это повлияет на частоту показа такого поста в ленте,пишет ain.ua. Более того, при определенном (в Facebook не раскрывают, каком) количестве жалоб пост получит вот такую маркировку:

Пока что это нововведение работает только для тех постов, в которых есть ссылки. Чтобы пожаловаться на неправдивую новость, нужно выбрать в меню справа вверху поста опцию «Пожаловаться на публикацию». Затем «Я считаю, что этому не место в Facebook», а после этого нажать «Далее» и отметить вариант «Это поддельная новость» (преднамеренно поддельная или вводящая в заблуждение новость, утка, которая была опровергнута источником с хорошей репутацией).

Администрация сети считает, что сатирические сайты вроде Onion (можно привести в пример и наш UaReview) не пострадают от этого новшества, поскольку люди как правило не жалуются на юмористический контент.

Напомним, украинские пользователи ранее жаловались на то, что администрация Facebook предвзято относится к политическим конфликтам. Часть аудитории попыталась взять ситуацию в свои руки: в украинском сегменте Facebook существует уже несколько закрытых групппользователей, основная цель которых: банить очевидных «кремлеботов».
