Канадські спостерігачі за парламентськими виборами у РФ до окупованого Криму не поїдуть.

Про це повідомляє Укрінформ з посиланням на речника Міністерства закордонних справ Канади Остіна Жана.

"Канада не надсилатиме спостерігачів за виборами до окупованого Криму", - сказав Жан.

Він наголосив, що позиція Канади повністю збігається із поглядами міжнародної спільноти.

"Бюро з демократичних інститутів і прав людини (БДІПЛ) - орган, під патронатом якого Канада надсилатиме своїх короткотермінових спостерігачів за виборами до Державної думи РФ, не визнав незаконної окупації Криму Росією та вважає Крим невід’ємною частиною території України. Відповідно до цього, БДІПЛ ясно дав зрозуміти, що не надсилатиме своїх спостерігачів за виборами до окупованого Росією Криму", - зазначив речник.

Однак, він не уточнив, чи визнає Канада новообрану російську Думу, якщо вибори будуть проведені у тому числі на незаконно окупованій українській території.

"Канада підтримує офіційні міжурядові відносини і не має практики визнання парламентів", - підкреслив Жан.
