Канада выделит 7,1 млн. канадских долларов для поддержки реформ избирательного процесса в Украине.

Как передают Комментарии, об этом говорится в сообщении пресс-службы посольства Украины в Канаде.

«Министр иностранных дел Канады Николсон сегодня объявил об очередной инициативе канадского правительства, направленные на «построение мирного, демократического и процветающего будущего украинского народа». В частности, он анонсировал выделение средств для финансирования трех проектов на общую сумму 7,1 млн. кан. долл.», - говорится в сообщении.

В частности отмечается, что 1,2 млн. кан. долл. будут выделены ОБСЕ в поддержку организации и координации усилий избирательного процесса в Украине.

Еще 3 млн. кан. долл. будут переданы Международному фонду избирательных систем для поддержки реформ в сфере прозрачности и борьбы с коррупцией в украинском политическом процессе.

Также 2,9 млн. кан. долл. выделяются Национальному демократическому институту для обеспечения прозрачности финансирования избирательного процесса и поддержки женщин в политике.

Напомним, также Канада передаст Украине более 200 тепловизоров в рамках программы помощи.

Кроме того, Канада пообещала помочь Украине в укреплении обороноспособности.
