Каталонию ждут досрочные выборы: в этом практически уверены местные наблюдатели. Парламент автономной области трижды отверг единственную кандидатуру на пост главы автономии — действующего лидера Артура Маса, сообщает ru.euronews.com.

В понедельник его соратники отказались выдвинуть вместо него другую кандидатуру, что автоматически означает досрочные выборы в марте.

В сентябре сепаратистское движение Маса одержало победу, но не смогло набрать большинства — что и привело к нынешней ситуации.

— Я спокоен и настроен продолжать борьбу, дальше отстаивать интересы этой страны перед Мадридом, который не прекращает попытки остановить нас. Я также не собираюсь уступать тем местным деятелям, которые хотят усложнить нам жизнь, — заявил Артур Мас.

В то же время наблюдатели полагают, что именно односторонние резкие действия Маса по отделению от Испании «здесь и сейчас» стоили ему голосов умеренного крыла.

С другой стороны, фактические неудачи каталонского лидера на пути к независимости могут усилить позиции и радикальных сепаратистов.
