Франція впроваджує масштабну інституційну реформу, згідно з якою кількість парламентарів в обох палатах парламенту буде скорочено на третину.

Реформу у середу представив прем’єр-міністр Едуар Філіп, повідомляє Reuters.

Заходи, які відповідають передвиборчим обіцянкам президента Еммануеля Макрона, є результатом угоди між його центристським урядом та контрольованим опозицією Сенатом, підтримка якого необхідна для проведення реформи.

Кількість обранців до Національної асамблеї Франції (нижньої палати парламенту) на виборах 2022 року становитиме 404 депутати замість 577. Кількість французьких сенаторів буде зменшена з 348 до 244.

Крім того, 15% членів парламенту на виборах 2022 року обиратимуться за пропорційною системою голосування.

"Ці законопроекти будуть сприяти глибокому оновленню політичного та парламентського життя в дусі відповідальності, репрезентативності і ефективності", - прокоментував реформу Едуар Філіп.
