Хиллари Клинтон согласилась передать сервер, с которого отправляла свою личную переписку периода ее работы во главе госдепартамента США, специалистам из ФБР.

Также в бюро расследований направятся и флешки с копиями писем Клинтон, сообщает ВВС

В бытность госсекретарем политик использовала свой личный сервер электронной почты для служебной переписки, что является нарушением федерального закона.

В результате Клинтон оказалась под давлением незадолго до следующих президентских выборов, в которых она намерена принять участие.

Дипломат в ответ на критику заявила, что готова предать общественной огласке содержание переписки.

Как утверждает Клинтон, из 60 тысяч отправленных ею в бытность госсекретарем писем около половины носила личный характер. Те, которые женщина-политик считала слишком личными, она удаляла сразу же, поэтому на переданном в ФБР сервере они могли и не сохраниться.

Тем не менее, во вторник представители госдепартамента заявили, что не будут предавать взору общественности те ее письма, которые были постфактум классифицированы как "совершенно секретные".
