Нира Танден, близкая подруга Хиллари Клинтон, рассказала о том, что демократка не собирается баллотироваться на пост мэра Нью-Йорка, и она готова посвятить себя благотворительности, - сообщает Индепендент. 

Танден подчеркнула, что Клинтон, вероятнее всего, больше не предпримет попыток вернуться в политику и не захочет баллотироваться ни на одну из должностей. «Я думаю, что в ближайшие несколько лет Хиллари сосредоточится только на благотворительной деятельности. Она будет помогать малообеспеченным семьям и детям. Впрочем, этим Клинтон занималась всю свою жизнь», заявила Танден. Напомним, что несколько дней назад в СМИ появилась информация о том, что якобы демократы оказывают сильнейшее давление на Клинтон и настаивают на том, чтобы она баллотировалась на пост мэра Нью-Йорка. 

Эта информация не подтвердилась – скорее всего, Клинтон уже никогда не вернется в большую политику. На президентских выборах демократка уже дважды потерпела поражение – первый раз, когда в предвыборной гонке ее обошел Барак Обама, второй раз – в «схватке» с Дональдом Трампом.
