Украинская летчица Надежда Савченко, которая сейчас находится под арестом в СИЗО Воронежа (Россия), решила баллотироваться кандидатом в депутаты Верховной Рады Украины, чтобы спастись из российской тюрьмы. Об этом на брифинге в Киеве заявила сестра Надежды Савченко Вера Савченко, передает РБК-Украина.

"Мы не собирались ничего такого делать, но правовое поле в этом деле (деле Савченко, - ред.) отсутствует. После выборов о нем если не забудут, то забудут наполовину, поэтому нужно перевести это дело в политическую плоскость", - сказала она.

Также Вера Савченко объяснила, почему выбор сестры пал именно на "Батькивщину". "Надя всегда раньше была благосклонна к личности Тимошенко. Тимошенко сможет помочь, это узнаваемый человек в Европе", - отметила она.

Напомним, Надежда Савченко на выборах в Раду 26 октября возглавит список партии "Батькивщина".

33-летняя Надежда Савченко - старший лейтенант, штурман-оператор вертолета Ми-24 3-го отдельного полка армейской авиации Воздушных сил Вооруженных сил Украины. Во время антитеррористической операции на Донбассе принимала участие в качестве добровольца батальона "Айдар". При этом оставалась действующим офицером ВСУ. Участвовала в боях у поселка Металлист под Луганском, где попала в плен террористов 18 или 19 июня. 8 июля стало известно, что Савченко находится под стражей в России в следственном изоляторе Воронежа. Российские власти инкриминируют Савченко причастность к гибели на востоке Украины двух журналистов Всероссийской гостелерадиокомпании - Игоря Корнелюка и Антона Волошина.
