Колишній лідер Партії регіонів у Запорізькій області, голова Запорізької ОДА часів Януковича Олександр Пеклушенко здійснив самогубство.

Про це "РБК-Україна" повідомив старший інспектор відділу зв'язків з громадськістю МВС у Запорізькій області Олександр Солошенко.

"Так, Олександр Пеклушенко покінчив життя самогубством у власному будинку в селищі Сонячному. В даний момент на місці події працює слідчо-оперативна група", - заявив Солошенко.

Пеклушенко підозрюється активістами і судом в причетності до жорстокого розгону Запорізького Євромайдану на Фестивальній площі у Запоріжжі, коли на мітингувальників кинулися міліціянти та тітушки, озброємні металевими трубами і молотками. Багато людей було важко поранено, дсятки - кинуто за грати.
