Российский телеканал LifeNews прекратит вещание в аннексированном Крыму с 19 июля. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба подконтрольного Кремлю правительства Севастополя, передает Радио Свобода

«Филиал РТРС «РТПЦ Республики Крым» сообщает, что в связи с расторжением договора между ФГУП «РТРС» и ООО «Медиа контент» на трансляцию телеканала Lifenews в составе 3-го мультиплекса, с 19 июля 2016 года трансляция LifeNews в Республике Крым и г.Севастополь будет прекращена», – говорится в сообщении.

27 мая украинский президент Петр Порошенко подписал указ, запрещающий 17 руководителям ведущих российских СМИ въезд в страну до 31 декабря 2017 года. В списке, в частности, гендиректор телеканала LifeNews Ашот Габрелянов.

Независимые эксперты считают, что телеканал под видом защиты общественных интересов отстаивает интересы не общества, а власти.

Верховная Рада Украины официально объявила 20 февраля 2014 года началом временной оккупации Крыма и Севастополя Россией. 7 октября 2015 года президент Украины Петр Порошенко подписал соответствующий закон. Международные организации признали оккупацию и аннексию Крыма незаконными и осудили действия России. Страны Запада ввели ряд экономических санкций. Россия отрицает оккупацию полуострова и называет это «восстановлением исторической справедливости»
