На возведении объектов ЧМ-2022 в общей сложности работает 1,4 млн мигрантов, преимущественно из Непала, Бангладеш, Шри-Ланки и Индии. Иностранцы в Катаре трудятся в очень тяжелых условиях и погибают в основном от истощения. Многие из них лишились своих документов, из-за чего оказались в тюрьме.
