Протягом матчу з регбі між командами України та Польщі у Любліні на трибунах висів банер зі словами "Львів відберемо, бандерівців уб’ємо".

Два банери з написами польською та українською мовами з'явилися на трибунах в першій половині матчу.

"Після телефонних консультацій з мером Любліна Кшиштофом Жуком я вирішив зняти екстремальні банери з гаслами, що розпалюють ворожнечу" - розповів Кшиштоф Коморські, заступник мера Любліна.

Однак це виявилося непросто, оскільки власники банерів пригрозили охоронцям, які зайшли в сектор з наміром їх зняти, пригрозили опором. Поліція при цьому втрутитись не могла, оскільки потрібна була заява від охоронної фірми.

Зрештою банери допомогли зняти п’ять вболівальниць, які пізніше розвповіли, що фанати не були надто агресивними і обмежилися лайками.

"Після матчу ми вибачилися перед нашими друзями України" - сказав секретар польської асоціації регбі Роберт Малолєпши, додавши, що йому все ж соромно за ситуацію.

Разом з тим, за його словами, на стадіоні було 6-7 тис. осіб, які щиро раділи успіхам української команди і плескали в долоні при звуках гімну України.
