Президент Венесуэлы Николас Мадуро признался в своем сумасшествии из-за любви к Уго Чавесу. Об сообщает El Nacional.

По словам главы государства, он действительно сошел с ума «из-за любви к Венесуэле, боливарианской революции, Чавесу и его примеру». «Да, я безумный, как козел. Это правда. Безумный от любви, от страсти», — добавил Мадуро на мероприятии в Театре Тереса Карреньо в Каракасе.

18 мая бывший президент Уругвая Хосе Мухика назвал президента Венесуэлы «сумасшедшим, как козел». «Они все сумасшедшие в Венесуэле. Говорят обо всем, но ничего не исправляют», — добавил он.

Николас Мадуро занял пост президента Венесуэлы в апреле 2013 года. Он стал преемником лидера страны Уго Чавеса, скончавшегося в марте того же года от рака. Останки лидера боливарианской революции покоятся в мраморном саркофаге в здании музея революции в Каракасе.

В последние годы в Венесуэле продолжается экономический кризис. Падение мировых цен на нефть, которая является главным источником валютных поступлений страны, усугубило ситуацию. Для экономии электроэнергии местные власти сократили рабочую неделю бюджетников до двух дней.
