Як відомо, перший етап подання е-декларацій завершився 30 жовтня.

В основній декларації Мельничука про доходи та наявність майна за 2015 рік, поданії 29 жовтня, також був зазначений трильйон гривень готівки. У депутатській групі "Волі народу", куди Мельничук перейшов з Радикальної партії, заявили, що його трильйон гривень - це "невдалий жарт".

Пізніше нардеп пояснив такі дані бажанням "привернути увагу громадськості до корупції". Внести зміни в декларацію можна було до 6 листопада.

Але в оновленій декларації Сергія Мельничука трильйон залишився. Генпрокурор Юрій Луценко заявив, що якщо народний депутат Сергій Мельничук не внесе зміни в свою декларацію про наявність трильйона гривень, ГПУ відкриє кримінальну справу про несплату податків в особливо великих розмірах.
