«У нас є твердий намір мати ефективний уряд», – заявив представник ХДС, консервативний лідер землі Шлезвіг-Гольштейн Даніел Гюнтер 26 листопада після чотиригодинної зустрічі лідерів ХДС в Берліні на тлі спроби законодавців сформувати коаліцію після виборів 24 вересня.

Лідер СПД Мартін Шульц раніше заявив, що його партія не увійде у велику коаліцію з ХДС і його союзниками з ХСС, але потім все ж переглянув свою позицію.

За даними останнього соцопитування, 52 відсотки німців підтримують велику коаліцію.

Чимало аналітиків побоюються, що нові вибори можуть збільшити парламентське представництво крайніх правих партій, що виступають проти мігрантів.
