Президент Украины Петр Порошенко ожидает от совета парламентской коалиции предложений по замене членов Центральной избирательной комиссии, срок полномочий которых истек, заявил представитель президента в Верховной Раде Степан Кубив.

"Президент Украины ожидает от фракций предложений по Центральной избирательной комиссии", — сообщил Кубив на заседании согласительного совета парламента в понедельник,передает Delo.

Он отметил, что речь об этом шла во время встречи Порошенко с руководителями фракций коалиции.

По словам представителя президента, кандидатуры членов ЦИК необходимо подать на рассмотрение президента после того, как они будут согласованы советом коалиции.

В свою очередь лидер фракции "Самопомич" Олег Березюк высказался за необходимость прекратить полномочия членов ЦИК, срок полномочий которых истек.

Как сообщалось, семилетний срок полномочий 12-ти членов ЦИК из 15-ти завершился 1 июня 2014 года. Вместе с тем в закон о Центральной избирательной комиссии были внесены изменения, в соответствии с которыми члены ЦИК продолжают выполнять свои функции до момента назначения новых членов комиссии.
