Президент Украины Петр Порошенко подписал изменения в закон "О местном самоуправлении в Украине" (относительно поименных голосований).

Согласно закону, решения в местных советах принимаются открытым поименным голосованием, за исключением случаев, для которых действующим законом предусматривается тайное голосование (например, вопрос избрания на должности в совете, выражение недоверия сельскому, поселковому, городскому голове, председателю районного, областного совета).

Законом также определено, что результаты поименного голосования подлежат обязательному обнародованию на официальном сайте совета в день голосования. Согласно закону, результаты поименного голосования является неотъемлемой частью протокола сессии совета.

Верховная Рада проголосовала за законопроект №2016а 26 ноября 2015 года.

Прежняя редакция статьи 59"О местном самоуправлении в Украине" предусматривала, что местные советы могут принимать решение открытым поименным или тайным голосованием.
