17 сентября председатель Государственной думы РФ Сергей Нарышкин провел встречу с группой «За мир и стабильность», которая состоит из 24 украинских депутатов. После встречи за закрытыми дверьми украинские депутаты были приглашены в зал заседаний Госдумы РФ, где российские парламентарии - по предложению спикера нижней палаты Федерального собрания РФ - встретили украинцев аплодисментами.

Председатель этой группы экс-регионал Виталий Грушевский объяснил, что представители депутатской группы в ВР посещают Госдуму РФ «с целью налаживания диалога между парламентариями двух стран».
